About SIM Sarge
SIM Sarge is the tiny campaign-hat commander standing between you and a very expensive roaming bill.
The legend is simple: after watching too many travellers land, panic, join an airport SIM queue and accidentally feed their home network a week of roaming charges, Sarge set up a briefing desk. His job is not to shout. His job is to ask the right questions before you fly.
Destination. Trip length. Data use. Calls. Hotspot. Phone readiness. Answer those, and Sarge turns the chaos into a shortlist you can actually understand.
What SIM Sarge Does
- Compares travel eSIM options by trip fit, data, validity, hotspot rules and country warnings.
- Keeps the language plain so normal humans can understand what they are buying.
- Flags the boring-but-important stuff: unlocked phones, data-only plans, bank texts, installation timing and hotspot limits.
- Uses affiliate links where available, with disclosure, without ranking solely by commission.
FAQs
Is SIM Sarge a mobile network?
No. SIM Sarge is a recommendation and briefing site. You still buy your eSIM from the provider.
Are prices live?
Some prices are checked snapshots. Providers can change prices, currencies, networks and plan rules, so always confirm the final checkout page before buying.
Why do some countries have fuller reports than others?
Sarge only promotes researched briefings when there is enough provider and country data to be useful. Wider destination pages may stay noindex until checked.
Do travel eSIMs include calls and texts?
Usually they are data-only. Apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Google Maps, Uber and email normally work over data, but normal phone calls and bank texts may still need your home SIM.
Privacy, Plain and Simple
SIM Sarge does not ask for your name, passport, phone number, payment details or account codes in the briefing flow.
The site records lightweight anonymous events such as destination selected, briefing completed and provider button clicked. That helps improve the briefing without collecting sensitive personal data.

Found a stale price, broken link or country warning that needs a field report update?
Please do not send passport details, payment information or private account codes. Sarge is helpful, but he is not your mobile network support desk.
